The R&D Department has been restructured and reorganized to adapt to the changing of demand from Oil & Gas Industry and Power Generation Industry. The three sub-units are Product Improvement, New Design and Promotion & Marketing Unit supported with 5 engineers to covers research works and services to all customers.

We recently participated in several International Exhibitions and they were: - 1. China Power 2005 It is organised by PennWell. The exhibition was held on 10th August until 11th August '05. It was held in Beijing. 2. Malaysia Power & Energy Showcase & Trade Mission 2005 It was organised jointly by Tenaga Nasional Generation and MATRADE (Malaysia). The Showcaase was held at Malaysian Trade Centre in Dubai, UAE whereas the Trade Mission was held in Muscat, Oman. 3. Power-Gen Asia The exhibition was held in Singapore from 13th September until 15th September '05.

We work very closely with the gas turbine and maintenance engineers, let it be for industrial or aero-derivative gas turbines specialists providing services such as developing new filtration system designs, refurbishments and improving their existing filter & filtration systems designs and specifications. Our service & maintenance package also includes removal of existing filters and installation of Malaysian Air Filter (MAF). It also includes cleaning, repair, complete refurbishments and design of the filtration systems. We also provide full maintenance of the filtration system. Most of all, we provide close monitoring of MAF filters which includes conducting regular checks on the perfomance of the filters, the condition of the filtration systems as well as checks and services of the filter testing and monitoring systems. We pledge having quality as our foremost concern and priority in our process of manufacturing. The quality standards are measured based on our customer's requirements. Hence, every filter components are checked physically and specifically before accepted by our dedicated quality assurance team.

Our products are designed, manufactured and tested according to ASHRAE Standard 52.1-1992 & 52.2-99 a standard that is widely used by many filter manufacturers around the world.

We are committed in doing research & development for new filter & filtration system designs and improvements. Latest innovations with advanced technology are always incorporated in our new filter designs. R&D collaborations are with academic institutions in Malaysia. There are 3 areas of collaboration and they are: - * Product development. * Product improvement. * Product testing. A typical Product Improvement we have done was on our CARTRIDGE MP filter design. Analysis has been carrying out for CARTRIDGE MP plastic design. The analysis consist of few stages as follows: *Material identification *Review on the current design *Design modification Materials that under our consideration includes the following: *HIPS (High Impact Polystyrene) *ABS *Polypropylene The Results... The propose modified Plastic Strut and End-Post has undergone rapid prototyping. Tests were conducted on the filter burst strength. Selection of plastic material is determined for cost effective and not sacrificing filter performance & quality.

A RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT BREAKTHROUGH FOR MALAYSIAN AIR FILTER! In February, we have completed air filter performance tests for both industrial and aero-derivative gas turbines. The tests were done between SALUTARY AVENUE MANUACTURING SERVICES SDN BHD (SA) R&D team and the project team from the FACULTY OF Mechanical Engineering, University Technology Malaysia (UTM) at the AERONAUTICS LABORATORY. The tests, together with the actual field tests that are on-going confirmed that MALAYSIAN AIR FILTER has performed up to expectation.
